At Drifter, our hats are designed for men and women and we purposefully keep our embellishments to a minimum so that you can let the hat do the talking, or personalise them to reflect your own style.
In September we decided to bring together an incredible group of creatives in Mallorca and let them play with ribbons, feathers, crystals, beads and leather straps to bring to life their own hat band.
The event was held at a beautiful converted windmill in Costitx, Mallorca and led by our friend and artist Miguel Baruqi - a feather handcrafter hailing from Mexico. We started with breakfast in the morning sun before moving on to the rooftop where the workshop began.
With Miguel´s assistance, our guests went to work and created everything from subtle designs using local shells to eye-catching hat bands using multiple feathers and bold ribbon colours.
