Our Llata Straw Hats are made by the descendants of ´Ses Madones de sa Llata´- female masters of palm braiding in Mallorca. These skills were passed down through mothers and grandmothers and there are only a handful of islanders who still work as artisans.
Traditionally they were made for Mallorcan farmhands, with a tall straight crown and wide brim offering protection from the intense Spanish heat.
